Hack Alert - Remilia Treasury Drained for Over $1 Million
Quick Summary
Charlotte Fang, founder of Remilia Corporation and creator of the Milady NFT collection, claims to have been hacked today (16 March 2024) after millions of dollars worth of ether and NFTs were moved to a new wallet.
The new wallet has been observed selling NFTs and swapping tokens to accumulate ETH.
The incident was first flagged by a user named Dumpster DAO, who shared a screenshot of Fang's alleged statement about being "drained," linking to the wallet receiving assets from Remilia-linked wallets.
This receiving wallet has liquidated several Milady-related NFTs and sent $1 million in ether to another address.
As of now, the attacker address still holds nearly $1 million in ether and other tokens.
While the exact method of the hack remains unclear, blockchain security firm Peckshield identified an earlier transfer of the Remilia treasury wallet to the draining wallet.
